Bridge 17 Studio - The nominations for the 97th Acamedy Awards were announced Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences' Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles, after being delayed by the LA wildfires. The announcements were met with shock, snubs, and surprises. Many expected Denzel Washington (Gladiator II,) Daniel Craig (Queer), Nicole Kidman (Babygirl), and Jamie Lee Curtis (The Last Showgirl) performances to receive nominations, they missed the mark this year.
